These tips I have found off the web and have
worked well for me.Thanks to whoever thought of these.
Easy off Air-Filter

Since you are supposed to use after-run in your engine
when you are done with it, you would think they would have
made it easier to get the filter on and off fast...right?Well, they didn't.
If you put the zip-ties on as instructed, and theyare snug enough to prevent
the filter from flying off...It can be difficultto get to the carb port handily.
This tip is sure to make that easier. All you need to do is go to a Shuck's
Auto or other car parts store.Purchase some of the adjustable medal
fasteners (small size). Put oneon as shown in the picture, and now
all you need is a screw driver to take the filter off fast.
NOTE: When using this system, make sure you keep the screw
mechanism rotated AWAY from the throttle linkage. You could
inadvertently lock the throttle open. Just make sure it has clearance for the
throttle to move freely. In case you are wondering, I have not incurred any
noticeable 'extra' heat conductivity from this modification. So far, It has not
create any complications.
Throttle Return Spring

While this tip is becoming common knowledge, I was one of the
unlucky ones...I learned it the hard way. I had a runaway car when the
eclip fell off of the throttle rod(See tech tip on this). Anyway, most people get
the gist of this fix from a verbal explanation, yet still would like to see a picture. So here it is!
Quick Summary: Attach the spring to the eye hole provided on the throttle.
Attach the other end under the cap of the motor mount screw as seen in the
picture. Spring tension is your preference. Mine is strong enough to close
the throttle, yet not strong enough to mangle my response time or life(I hope) of my servo.
I heard about this fix from Jodie at Myst Racing. Excellent site! Read it all!
One thing to remember...This will not return the throttle if you lose range,
or in any instance where the servo does not SHUT down. So it is not a fix all...
